Tips to Easily Improve Your Posture
Posture is important in maintaining a healthy spine. Have you ever noticed that a person can look much older than they are or younger, simply based on their posture? These tips are designed to be done anywhere and added into your daily routine so they are quite easy to implement.
Tip #1:
Throughout the day, take ten seconds at a time to look up at the ceiling, reinforcing the natural curvature in your neck. Making sure you have a good curve in your neck takes the tension away from your shoulders that people so often carry their stress in.
Make sure that your shoulders are relaxed and down when you are doing this.

Tip #2:
If you find yourself at a desk, place a sticky note on the monitor at the desk that states โSit up straight, with your shoulders pulled back.โ
Naturally, youโll slip into your โnormalโ posture, but having a reminder throughout the day helps to have you work on your posture.

Tip #3:
Every time you hit a stop light on the way home from work, do shoulder rolls. Sitting up straight, roll your shoulders back continuously so that youโre loosening up the muscles in your chest. Often times, having tight chest muscles pulls those shoulders forward and creates a slouching appearance.
Tip #4:
Twice a day, do โshoulder blade pinchingโ exercises. What youโll do is have your arms out to your sides, youโll puff out your chest with the shoulders back and down, then youโll open your arms wide and focus in on pinching your shoulder blades together in the back. Squeeze the shoulder blades for 5 seconds at a time and repeat that for 10 times.โ

These tips are designed to be easily implemented into your daily routine. They can make a huge difference in how your body functions overall. When we get into patterns of poor posture and improper form, this can make us more vulnerable to injuries.
